1787 Massachusetts Half Cent Ryder 5-A Rarity-3 VF20. Glossy chocolate and steel. Smooth surfaces, free of any hint of corrosion or verdigris. The only defects are a few fine, old scratches on the obverse (Indian side), all blended perfectly into the attractive toning. The date is bold and the legends are strong except for HALF CENT, which has worn off the shield on the eagle's breast. Listed on page 59 in the "Redbook." Weight 74.0 grains.
