1779 Rhode Island Ship Medal without Wreath Breen-1139, Betts 562 PCGS graded Mint State-62. Frosty dark olive brown and chocolate with peeps of brassy golden tan in protected areas on both sides. Sharply struck and quite attractive, free of any notable defects. Most of VLUGTENDE located under the ship was carefully removed during the production process, as usual for this medal, but traces of it remain visible. Listed on page 50 in the "Redbook."
