1907 $2.50 Liberty. PCGS graded Proof 65 Cameo. Only 154 Proofs minted. Last year of the design. Date low, slants up to right. Nearly complete inner circle at dentils except below date. No spur from 3rd star (some others show it). Two plain horizontal die file marks in second white stripe, a jumble of others in unpolished areas near tops and bases of stripes. Dentils separated but less so than on some earlier dates

This coin has presence to it, glowing in the fields it retains magnificent mirrors that reveal no unsightly blemishes. Liberty and the devices are all cameo frosted and again free of handling marks. Simply stated, if you want one of the gemmiest Proof Liberty quarter eagles, of any date, then be sure to bid accordingly. An attractive and at the same time magnificent Proof 65 of this final year of issue of the Coronet type that is worthy of the finest cabinet. Pop 9; 10 finer, 1 in 65+CAM, 5 in 66CAM, 3 in 67CAM, 1 in 68CAM (PCGS # 87933) .
