(1672-94) London Elephant Halfpenny Breen-186 Rarity-4 PCGS graded AU53. Variety without diagonals in the center of the shield. Struck on a thick planchet, as usual. Choice glossy chocolate brown with frosty luster showing in the protected areas. Smooth and very attractive. The only marks are a few barely visible bumps on the rims, none notable. Comes with a certification signed by Walter Breen. Listed on page 46 in the "Redbook."
