1795 S-78 R1 Plain Edge with ONE CENT Centered. PCGS graded AU-58. CAC Approved. Frosty light olive brown and steel with traces of mint luster showing in protected areas. Nicely struck with just a hint of friction on the highest points. The only notable mark is a small puff of darker toning at the top of the cap. MDS, Breen state IV. There are numerous light die clashmarks visible on both sides but the top of the 5 is not crumbled to the truncation. Graded AU50 Average Plus and tied for CC#15 by Noyes, his photo #62007. Our grade is AU55. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 3 finer, 2 in 62, 1 in 64.
