1798 S-148 R2 Large 8, Style I Hair VF25. Sharpness EF40 but there are many fine hairline scratches on the obverse plus a few more around CENT. These marks blend perfectly into the attractive frosty chocolate brown and steel toning and this cent offers good eye appeal. The only other mark is a light rim bruise over BE in LIBERTY. Sharply struck EDS, Breen state II, showing fine die cracks at the lowest curl and along the bottom of the 17 in the date. A new discovery from England.
