1794 S-57 R1 F12. Sharpness VF25 with a half dozen shallow pits scattered over the obverse and fine granularity covering all but the highpoints on the reverse. No verdigris. There are a few dull rim nicks on the obverse, a shallow dig near the dentils under the cap, and a small planchet crack at the rim at NI in UNITED (as struck). Glossy light olive and steel. The date is bold and the legends are strong except for some weakness along the left edge of the reverse at UNITED due to an uneven strike. E-MDS, Breen state II. The two waves or "trenches" in the field before the face are just starting to show.
Estimated Value $600-UP.
