Three New Hampshire Obsoletes. The following three Obsoletes are contained in this lot: Brookline, NH - J.C. Tucker/Townsend Bank 3¢ July 4, 1864, mounted on heavy cardstock, with a large stain at right; Portsmouth, NH- Piscataqua Exchange Bank $2 Remainder, $5 Remainder, Extremely Fine, both examples have "Printed previous to 1850" rubber-stamped near bottom center, and the top margin has been cut into the design on the $2 note. Both denominations of the Piscataqua issue also display a center fold with small rust stains and holes, likely due to the notes having been pinned. Lot of 3 notes.
