Hadrian, AD 117-138. Gold Aureus (7.15 g) minted at Rome, AD 122. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right of the emperor. Reverse: Jupiter seated left, holding thunderbolt and scepter. RIC 64v; Calicó 1304c. A gem example! Boldly struck in high relief and fully lustrous. Superb Mint State.
