1856 C-1 R2 AU55. A sharply struck mint state example that was dipped and has retoned lustrous golden brown and light chocolate with underlying golden tan peeking through in protected areas. There is a splash of darker olive brown toning between stars 3 & 4 and a smaller one on the nostril. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The field around HALF CENT is uneven, as struck, thanks to debris (most likely grease) on the die.
