[Statesmen and Others]. Group of approximately 35 Cards Signed in the late 19th century by a variety of statesmen, including vice presidents, cabinet members, a Supreme Court justice, governors, senators, an artist, a few authors, and a member of the jury that tried Guiteau for Garfield's assassination. ranging from 2 x 3¼ in. to 2¾ x 4½ in. Signatures include: Augustin St. Gaudens, J.C. Frémont, Hannibal Hamlin, Charles Dawes, Robert Lincoln (2), Charles Francis Adams, Charles E. Hughes, Cassius Marcellus Clay, John Hay, Afred E. Smith, Hamilton Fish, George Boutwell, C.A. Dana, Thomas A. Langley (one of the Guiteau jurors). Some cards are dated; light toning but overall fine. The remainder of the cards seem to be state politicians, etc., but are worth examining.
