1842 N-3 R3 Large Date PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous light bluish steel brown and olive with faded mint red covering 15-20% of the planchet. The surfaces are satiny and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal. The only marks, and they are barely visible, are a tiny nick on the rim under the 2 in the date and a few tiny marks at D-S on the reverse. MDS, die state b. Our grade is MS63+, close to MS64, and tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census.
