1894. PCGS graded Proof 64 Cameo. CAC Approved. Untoned and very choice. Only 972 pieces struck. The 1894 has always been one of the most revered dates in the Proof series of Morgan Dollars. Similar to the 1901, the 1894 is a difficult issue to obtain in high grade Uncirculated condition. For this reason, there has always been significant date pressure on Proofs of these issues. This is an exceptionally choice, cameo coin that is deeply mirrored and even shows desirable frosting on the devices (indicated by the cameo contrast acknowledged on the holder). Fully and intricately detailed also with only minimal loss of detail over the ear of Liberty. Pop 20; 14 finer (PCGS # 87329) .
