Lot 1286

1910. PCGS graded MS-65. Lovely gold toning on both sides. Strikingly beautiful rolling-fresh finish, untouched by mishandling and almost exactly as when first issued, awash in originality. Difficult to find and on a par with 1909, sometimes soft-edged devices and lettering throughout the centers are typical on this issue, as commonly seen; however, a small percentage of this year's production is found with enough convincing detail to be called above average and this 1910 Quarter Eagle is such coin! Pop 75; 8 finer, 1 in 65, 7 in 66 (PCGS # 7941) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.
This is part of the #3 ranked PCGS Registry Set.

Realized $5,750
