Pershing, John J (1860-1948) General of the Armies; head of American Expeditionary Forces in World War I. Impressive bronze high-relief bust, 11 x 7½ inches. A left-profile of Pershing, signed by the artist, "G.H. Sander" with "U.S." on his uniform collar and "Pershing" along the lower edge. Matted with a signature and very attractively framed to 19¾ x 14¾ inches.
