1901-S. NGC graded MS-67 PQ. A stunning gem example displaying near immaculate surfaces and deeper golden overtones and the luster radiates to the borders. An inspiring example of this plentiful date, and one in the finest condition yet seen by the two major grading services. Note the finely textured luster in the fields along with the superb quality of the devices and fields where virtually no handling signs appear. Close examination with a loupe will locate oceans of smooth flowing luster, meaning that this ’01-S Eagle is far and away finer than virtually all competing examples of this date and mint.
