ASTP, 1975. Deke Slayton's "1982 Retirement" Book (11x14") This book is handmade on multicolor poster paper with NASA lihtographs showing different stages of Slayton's career interspersed with autographs of astronauts, coworkers and friends. A great tribute to a great man. We note autographs of Ron Evans, Betty Grissom, Owen Garriott, Vance Brand, Gene Cernan, Norm Thagard, Judy Resnik, Alan Bean, Rhea Seddon, Norman Chafffee, Tony England, Jerry Carr, Chris Kraft, Dick Scobee, Bob Overmeyer, Hank Hartsfield, Glynn Lunney, Bob Crippen, Bonnie Dunbar, etc. to name but a few of the signatories. Deke was arguably one of the most important men connected with the entire US space program. Striking and unique.
