1844 N-4 R1+ MS62. Glossy dark chocolate brown with 20-25% of the bright original mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. The only marks are a horizontal nick close over star 10 and some dull nicks hidden in the leaves below ATE in STATES. E-MDS, die state b. The die crack through the top of UNITED is clear but there are no rim cud breaks on the obverse. Sharply struck except for minor weakness on the coronet over LIB. Very attractive for the grade. Tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. DWH #2032.
