1846 N-5 R2 Repunched Date AU55. Frosty light to medium steel brown with an arc of darker chocolate toning on the lower left portion of the obverse. A tiny nick at star 3 is the only sign of contact on satiny, very attractive surfaces. LDS, die state d, with a strong rim cud break at TA in STATES. CC#2 of 12 known with the single reverse rim cud. The repunching on the date remains visible, clearest under the base of the 1. Removed from an ANACS slab graded MS61BN (ANACS label included). DWH #3249.
