1846 N-3 R2 Repunched Date AU55. Sharpness very near mint state with a dusting of very fine carbon or crud in some of the protected areas, strongest at stars 1-2 and in the dentils above MERICA. There is a light hairline scratch across ONE and some tiny abrasions on the rim over AMERICA. Frosty light steel brown with traces of mint red in protected areas of the obverse. Rare LDS, die state f, with strong, clearly defined rim cud breaks over TATES-OF. CC#4 of only 9 known in this extremely rare die state. Repunching on the 4 remains visible. DWH #0984.
