1880. PCGS graded Proof 65 Red. Lovely warm golden mint red colors. In the new PCGS shield plus holder. A blazing red gem of the finest order for its class. Intense mirror-smooth luster fairly leaps from the surfaces of this prize. One look at the present frosted gem will satisfy your curiosity as to why few examples of the date has been certified finer than the present coin. One would be hard put to find a more truly beautiful gem specimen of a popular Indian cent with not even a smidgen of softness on the hair or feathers, the shield or wreath. Pop 61; 15 in PR-66 RD; 8 in PR-67 RD (PCGS # 2329) .
