1902-S $10 Liberty. NGC graded MS-64. Well struck and shimmering with light golden luster, quite choice. Splendidly lustrous, both sides of this '02-S example exhibit oscillating cartwheel effects (PCGS # 8751) .

Historical reference: This '02-S $10 Eagle was struck in San Francisco. On January 1 of that year, 400 miles to the south, the first college football bowl game, the Rose Bowl between Michigan and Stanford, was held in Pasadena, California.
