1879-CC Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-63. VAM-3 Capped CC Top 100. A frosty white coin. A brilliant, gleaming specimen with no visible imperfections other than some scattered bagmarks usually associated with this issue. Fine boldness of strike throughout, which further supports the desirable MS63 grade. Only 756,000 minted.
(The interesting "Capped Die" VAM-3 resulted when a Medium Sized mintmark was punched into the die over a Small mintmark, the results of which went awry and ended up looking a bit confused to the inexperienced observer.) (PCGS # 7086) .
