Lot 908

1912-S Liberty Nickel. PCGS graded MS-65 PQ. Attractive multi-colored toning graces both sides. Only 238,000 pieces struck of which 5,000 are estimated to have survived. A peculiarly fitting fresh toned specimen, nicely struck, and unmarred by either spotting or contact marks. Quite difficult to encounter in this nice a grade showing full mint bloom. No more than the luster comes a desirable strike. This piece is struck with scientific exactness throughout and is one of the best made 1912-S nickels we have seen. (A fair portion of the issue was poorly struck.) Deserves a very strong bid. A key date Liberty Nickel. Pop 86; 8 finer in 66 (PCGS # 3875) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.

Realized $7,763
