[Jefferson, Thomas]. A scarce engraving after the aquatint by Thaddeus Kosciuszko (1746-1816) and engraved by Michel Sokolnicki (1760-1816), 14 x 11 in. Titled "Thomas Jefferson / A Philosopher a Patriote and a Friend / Dessiné par son Ami Tadée Kosciuszko. Et Gravé par Mt. Sokolnicki." Darker toned area in upper right corner and light foxing. Accompanied by three other prints: a 6¾ x 3 7/8 in. French bust portrait of Jefferson as President, a 14 x 11¼ in lithograph by C. Motte after Mauraisse (likely mourning), and a later printed reproduction of a print honoring Jefferson's retirement from the Presidency. Four pieces, lightly toned and foxed. Overall very good.
