Lot 273

1849 N-22 R1. MS-64. Frosty bright original mint red fading to chocolate and steel brown, more than a third of the original color remaining. Virtually pristine surfaces; a small spot of darker olive toning in the dentils at star 2 is the only notable mark. M-LDS, die state c. A very attractive example of a date that seldom comes with this much original mint red.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.

Realized $1,495
