1819 N-8 R1 PCGS graded MS63RB. PCGS graded MS-63 Red & Brown. Bright original mint red fading to steel brown, nearly half the mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse. There are numerous tiny contact marks scattered over both sides and a splash of dark toning at the bottom of the reverse, and this stain is a significant distraction for an otherwise very nice cent. Sharply struck EDS but slightly later than the preceding example as the fields are satiny and covered with microscopic die flowlines rather than hard and slightly reflective. Our grade is MS62. PCGS Population 1; 2 finer in 64RB.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
Ex H. Sergl 11/27/36-Willard C. Blaisdell 9/76-Del Bland 9/76.

Realized $1,006
