Lot 474

1839 N-14 R3 PCGS graded MS62BN. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Booby Head. Dull reddish chocolate and light olive. Probably recolored. The obverse is dull because that side is covered with extremely fine roughness while the reverse is smooth and rather glossy. No verdigris or notable marks, but the eye appeal suffers, especially when placed into a collection filled with superb cents. M-LDS. One of the few unattractive cents in Ted's collection. Our grade is AU50 net EF40. PCGS Population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 63BN, 1 in 66BN.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
Ex Abner Kreisberg 4/61.

Realized $460
