1837 N-10 R1 PCGS graded MS65BN. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. Beaded Hair Cord, Head of 1838. "Accessory N" variety. Glossy chocolate brown with lustrous lighter brown toning in protected areas. No spots or stains, just a few microscopic pinpricks in the field over star 1. M-LDS with clear rim cud breaks from just left of the date nearly to star 1 with another under the 37 extending slightly to either side, similar to the preceding example, plus an additional thin rim cud break at star 1. Excellent eye appeal, just not as flashy as most of the other cents in this sale. Called MS62 and tied for CC#6 in the Noyes census, his photo #35883. Our grade is MS62. PCGS Population 1; 1 finer in 66BN.
