1834 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS65BN. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. Large 8, Small Stars, Medium Letters. Lustrous light to medium chocolate brown with overtones of light bluish steel covering the fields and traces of mint color peeking through in some of the protected areas. Excellent eye appeal. No spots or stains, only a few microscopic contact marks in the field before the portrait and a tiny planchet chip on the rim right of star 13, as struck. E-MDS with a fine die crack through the tops of F-AM and strong roughness around NITED STATES from die rust. Called MS65 choice and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #35898. Bland says MS60+ and tied for CC#5. Our grade is MS62. PCGS Population 2; 1 finer in 67BN.
