Antoninus Pius, 138-161 AD. AE Sestertius. Rome mint, struck 154-155 AD. Laureate head of Pius right. Reverse: Securitas seated left, holding scepter and resting elbow on cornucopia, which forms arm of chair. RIC 967; C. 1008. Some smoothing or tooling in the fields noted, otherwise with attractive glossy dark brown patina. Choice Very Fine.
