1879 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65. Lovely midnight blue and golden toning. An incredibly original and highly reflective Gem Proof, almost serving as a benchmark for other examples that share this Proof 65 grade and splendid toning. The strike is bold and crisp, and thoroughly convincing to the critic's eye, certainly none of the head and shoulder details are left to the viewer's imagination. Only 1100 Proofs struck.
