Legend reads BRITT MINERVA VICTRIX FID DEF Reverse Standing figure of Britannia holding winged figure of Victory in palm of her outstretched hand. Edge plain. Weight 35 grams. Struck in 22 carat (.916) gold. En medaille (upright) die axis. UNIQUE. Only on example made in gold. NGC graded Proof 65.
*This privately minted 'retro' pattern produced by INA Ltd in Birmingham UK, in 2008, will be featured in the next edition of Colin Bruce's 'Unusual World Coins' published by Krause. The dies will only be used to complete production of silver and base metal strikings and then they will be rendered unusable.
