1911-D $2.50 Indian. NGC graded MS-65. Mostly untoned and well struck. A most agreeable and stunning Gem BU 1911-D Indian $2.50, with powerful luster and an absence of heavy marks in the fields. The overall strike is perfectly executed, including detailed definition in all features such as the headdress feathers and fluffy trim, the eagle's neck feathers, wings and legs; importantly, the D mintmark is bold while the diagnostic knife-like rim on the upper right portion of the obverse is visible even inside the grading holder. Such quality is the determining factor when deciding to bid. Only 55,680 pieces minted. Pop 68; 2 finer in 66 (PCGS # 7943) .
