1911-D $2.50 Indian. NGC graded MS-65. A well struck frosty mint specimen, untoned with a fully defined "D" mint mark. A bold mint state example of this valuable key date Indian quarter eagle. Smooth, satiny luster shows clean surfaces that that are devoid of the usual marks and hairlines found on lesser Mint States; and bright, original (and glittering) golden color. The mintmark is strong, which is a major advantage, while the strike elsewhere is fully brought up in all areas. Very scarce in full gem condition. Only 55,680 pieces minted. Pop 68; 2 finer in 66 (PCGS # 7943) .
