Lot 4807

1897-S $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-64. Nice golden toning. It should come as no surprise that the lovely MS64 we are offering is a desirable coin in this grade; the present example certainly is representative of this S-mint delivery. There are scant few abrasions on either side. The luster, which is richly colored orange-gold, simply glow with originality. The strike, too, shows the careful quality control supervision at the San Francisco Mint in the 1890s, a Liberty twenty whose important devices are all clear and bold. Pop 313; 6 finer, 4 in 65, 2 in 67 (PCGS # 9032) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.

Realized $2,530
