1838 $5 Classic Head. . Breen-6515, small arrows, large 5, TES widely spaced with the talons shorter and thinner. Rare. NGC graded MS-61. CAC Approved. Mostly untoned. This piece displays attractive frosty-golden color over the abrasion-free surfaces. We could go on an on about the luster since it really is something special. What's more, there are virtually no marks. Next, a word or two about strike: this piece is struck with the controlled precision one expects from a gold piece made at the Philadelphia Mint. The devices throughout stand front and center among its peers for exciting detail. Pop 29; 51 finer (PCGS # 8176) .
