Lot 3882

1926-S Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded MS-64. Lovely golden toning on both sides. A popular key date. Among the more poorly defined issues in the series, this key 1926-S issue breaks that trend for the most part and maintains uncommon detail on all but the highest parts of the design. Even the normal softness on the bison's shoulder is nearly absent. Both sides are graced by original toning over nickel-gray luster.Pop 125; 11 finer in 65 (PCGS # 3959) .
Estimated Value $13,000 - 16,000.
The Harpeth Valley Collection.
