Trio of Counterstamped 1851 Half Cents, all Brunk L-23. One is EF40 and the other two are EF45, and each has faded mint color remaining in the stamps suggesting these half cents were mint state or nearly so when stamped. The stamps are "SPL" in a logotype design and all are carefully positioned in the center of the obverse extending across the portrait from the chin and nose to the main curl. Brunk lists 24 examples, and all are on high-grade 1851 half cents. Lot of 3 coins.
