Lot 3594

1793 C-4 R3. Slightly glossy dark chocolate and olive brown with light chocolate toning covering the devices. Most of the planchet is smooth and attractive, but there is a small patch of shallow roughness at LI in LIBERTY plus a half dozen smaller pitmarks in the hair and cap and a small spot of verdigris at the bottom of the N in CENT. The date is bold and the legends are complete except for AMERICA, which is weak thanks to an uneven strike. Late die state, Manley state 2.0. EAC grade F12 net VG8.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000.

Realized $3,335
