German States - Hesse-Cassel. Taler, 1733-LR. Dav-2294; Schütz-1575; KM-418; Hoffm.1957. Mintmaster LR (Ludwig Rollin, 1724-1744). Friedrich I (King of Sweden), 1730-1751. Bust right, LR below. Reverse Crowned and supported arms, date and CASS. below. Minor natural flan flaws. Reflective surfaces with lovely toning. Very Rare. NGC graded AU-58.
Friedrich struck many coins for Sweden, but this is his only Taler for Hesse. It is his only Taler with the words, " Hassiae Landgr". His name was Friedrich in Hesse, and Frederick in Sweden.
