Pair of Clodion "Wine Goddess" Bronze Statues. Vintage late 19th century, signed Clodion at the feet of the figures, overall height 20 inches, including a 2 inch marble base. Two different poses of classical semi-nude wine goddesses wearing diaphanous gowns, one holding a wine jug, the other a bunch of grapes. Each marble base with chips, otherwise very good condition with age appropriate wear and tone.
Clodion (1738-1814) was a world famous scupltor in his time and his works were reproduced long after his death at Nancy.
