1803 Draped Bust Dollar. Large 3. . BB-255; B-6; Rarity 2. PCGS graded AU-55 CAC Verified. Well struck with a hint of light gold and blue toning. Nice reflective surfaces plus very sharp relief on the hair and eagle gives it a clear advantage. The coin is a common enough variety, but since mintage in 1803 (as well as 1801 and 1802) declined markedly from 1798-1800, collectors agree the year makes a good choice for a U.S. Type Set. Pop 6; 6 finer for the date. (PCGS # 6901) .
