Lot 2562

1885-S $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-63. Lovely shades of rich golden toning. Semi reflective surfaces. An pleasingly lustrous specimen, no doubt about it: The obverse explodes with bright rose-gold radiance while the reverse is a similar rich amalgam of gold and reddish shades. Far be it for us to threaten our customers, but unless one is an astigmatic in both eyes, then a large majority can see plainly that this coin is among the few such specimens of its kind. Roused by such knowledge, bidders may well assign it a top-market price when the auctioneer's voice shouts the final bid. Pop 263; 29 finer; 28 in 64; 1 in 65. (PCGS # 9005) .
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,200.

Realized $4,440
