Lot 2495

1898 $10 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-64. Light even golden toning on both sides. Besides frosty surfaces, this piece has a meticulous strike on every device and is what collectors hope for in an 1890s Liberty head $10 gold piece. This example, unlike those that don't quite make the "full" grade, is extra sharp, almost twice that of an average specimen. For that reason, the numerical condition is exact. Pop 44; 6 finer in 65 (PCGS # 8740) .
Estimated Value $1,600 - 1,700.

Realized $2,300
