Lot 1103

1796 S-109 R3. Good-6. Draped Bust. A couple points sharper but there are a half dozen rim dents, mostly on the reverse, and a small area of pitting at OF. No verdigris, and the most notable of the rim dents is at the C in AMERICA. Rather glossy steel brown with chocolate toning in protected areas. The date and legends are clear except for OF, which is obliterated by the pitting, and ONE CENT, which is gone due to swelling in the center of the reverse associated with the late die state, Breen state V.
Estimated Value $100 - 200.
Ex Ray Chatham 1/75-Thomas Wolf.

Realized $265
