Roger Maris Signed Baseball. An Official American League baseball signed in blue ink by Roger Maris, "To Dan Miller, Best Wishes, Roger Maris." Sealed in a lucite case by PSA/DNA, with accompanying COA from PSA/DNA.
Roger Maris is best known for breaking Babe Ruth's one season Home Run record with 61 in 1961. He was also the American League MVP in both 1960 and 1961. Mr Maris appeared in seven World Series and seven All-Star games and the Yankees retired his #9 in 1984.
In 1998 Mark McGwire (70) and Sammy Sosa (66) eclipsed Maris's record but the mystery and fascination with the shy and reclusive Maris, plus his premature death on December 14, 1985, make his autograph special and valuable to this day.
