Full red cloth with blind-stamped, gilt medallion of corn and the initials MT on the cover. Gilt lettering on spine. Hardcover, first edition early mixed state with the following indicators present: frontispiece dated 1907 rather than 1906; copyright boxed advertisements list 17 titles; six lines used for the illustrtions page; page 3 line 9 has "r" missing in "farmhouses"; the "W" in "Why" is standard; page 123, line has the uncorrected misspelling "autobiograyhy." The top edge is a bit dust stained; spine is sunned, and some uneven light spotting to the cover gutters; otherwise very good; Ex Libris. Small inked image transfer across pp 2-3.
