1896 Morgan Dollar. Proof 63. Lovely rainbow toning probably retoned but the brilliant iridescent blues attract notice all the same. Precision strike on every device from the carefully made planchets and sharp Proof dies. Proofs in this period were struck twice, and often made on the mint's hydraulic medal press that distributed the pressure more evenly across the planchet (PCGS # 7331) .
