1887 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 64. Wonderful gold and blue toning. An very attractive Morgan silver dollar, a coin with sleek surfaces (only a few wispy hairlines) and a bold strike that is amazing to study under a magnifying glass. The toning sets it apart from other toned specimens; clearly this one spent much of its life in an old Mint-issue tissue wrapper. Whether you merely nod your head or gape in astonishment, there is no getting around its superior quality for the grade. Only 710 proofs struck. Pop 46; 73 finer (PCGS # 7322) .
